There are so many people in the world... you have to accept it. The world doesn't move around you, or me... you are not the only one, I'm non the only one, nobody is the only one. Everything is following its own path. Everything is changing all the time... there's nothing you can do about it...
"don't make someone your priority if you are only their option"
you never make anybody feel 'second choice' and it's a shame that they make you feel like that, considering all you give of yourself to those you care about.

Jesus is the answer to all of life's troubles. When we follow Him, we get a new perspective. He created us, he knows the problems we face, and yet most of us turn our backs on Him in unbelief. He died so we might live for eternity if we confess our sins, acknowledge our need of Him, and follow Him the rest of our lives. The Bible is a message of hope for the believer and foolishness to those who don't believe. My suggestion - ask God to reveal himself to you... and He will.
